FAQ

What grade is the wood you sell?

At Tague Mountain Maple Supply we do not grade the wood for sale on our site. While many retailers of figured maple divide their wood into categories of A (or 1A), AA (or 2A), AAA (or 3A), AAAA (or 4A), and AAAAA (or 5A) we do not. We are not professionals in the field of wood grading and believe by grading our wood we would be misrepresenting ourselves as such. Most people are very pleasantly surprised by the amount of figuring they receive. If you aren't satisfied for any reason, please contact us immediately.

Do you offer live edge?

Yes, we have live edge! For your perfect piece please visit our "custom cuts" section and send us an email with what you are looking for.

What cut would I use for a flame maple top?

Guitar body blanks are designed to be used for flame maple tops. If you do not have the needed equipment to cut it in half, you may want to order the "book matched" flame maple body blank. This also holds true for Violins which also fit the guitar body blanks.

Can Figured maple be dyed?
